Silence

silence I knew when I lived alone
silence I knew when I spoke to God
silence I knew when I have a partner
silence I know is in my head

silence I knew I never wanted
silence without knowing came to me
silence is what forced me to be
silence is what my life looks like

silence, when will you leave me? 
silence, when will the prior me come back? 
silence, will it ever come back
Perhaps silence changed into silenced

Somewhere down the lane, life changed its course. The course was expecting to change it's route for the better but it ended up somewhere not where it had to be.
